Understanding CO₂ Levels at The Cosmetic Clinic

We offer five graduated levels of fractional CO₂ treatment:

  • Micropeel

  • Level 1

  • Level 2

  • Level 3

  • Level 4

Each level adjusts depth, density, and energy delivery.

As intensity increases:

  • Correction potential increases

  • Recovery time increases

  • Peeling becomes more pronounced

Micropeel

Light resurfacing focused on collagen stimulation and subtle refinement.

Level 1–2

Moderate resurfacing appropriate for early fine lines, pigment changes, and mild to moderate texture irregularities.

Level 3–4

More advanced resurfacing selected for deeper lines, significant photodamage, or certain types of scarring.

Level 4 requires careful patient selection, preparation, and aftercare planning.

How We Determine Level

We do not default to the highest setting.

We assess:

  • Skin quality

  • Structural integrity

  • Pigment risk

  • History of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

  • Lifestyle considerations

  • Healing tolerance

The objective is controlled improvement, not maximal injury.

CO₂ resurfacing is most effective when it is matched precisely to the skin in front of us.

A consultation allows us to determine the appropriate level, or whether another modality would better serve your goals.
