Where did I think we were going 7 years ago when The Cosmetic Clinic opened in Ottawa?
I thought we would rise fast. I thought everyone was enjoying cosmetic medicine the same as I was. But many were waiting on the sidelines wondering if this was something for them, watching to see what was out there. Today what I know, is that patients need to be guided. They watch until it feels right for them and they go and get more information to go into the next phase. Why do they need guidance? Because there is an overwhelming amount of information in this space and not all of it is trusted. Professionals are worried about looking fake or overdone. Reality shows make us look bad. The list goes on and on, even if any of these things aren’t realities at The Cosmetic Clinic.
Since we discovered that respecting the patient’s learning phase is extremely important to building trust, we naturally began to specialize in making our patients feel safe. So today, we have claimed the top for being the first stop in many people’s journey into cosmetic medicine.
Over 7 years ago we were new. There were only a few clinics in the city and they were physician owned. We were nurse-led, alive and well on social media and offered something fresh and genuine. We turned heads because we had a real clinic. Anyone else I knew in the scene were doing injections from their home. This didn’t feel right at all. If we were going to have high standards, offer safe treatments and have our patients feel safe, we had to be a medical facility. And if we knew natural results are what our community wanted, we had to focus sharply on techniques and treatments that allow that. We also have had to focus on a healthy, natural and welcoming team.
Over time we grew (big time!) and so did our operations. With multiple locations, we now get comments like “it feels like working at a hospital here. All your guides, manuals and operating procedures are so well done! It’s so organized!”
Seven years later, the “newbie” is one of the most established medical aesthetics companies. Now that the physician owned clinics have all been bought out by large chains and have new management, we are one of the longest standing clinics in Ottawa, under the same ownership, with a laser sharp vision we are not willing to give up or sell out for. The beauty of knowing what works, not being too far removed from what our patients want and offering a real community vibe.
In North Bay, we have been around for over 5 years. And we were the first full service aesthetic medical establishment that only focuses on elective treatments. No part time work, no waiting rooms that double as a family doctor offices. And what has worked will continue to work as we maintain the lead as the first and most established medical aesthetics clinic in North Bay Ontario.
We are so proud to be here so many years later, serving up the same authenticity, attention to detail, safe and natural results but with more clarity of who you are and with more commitment to leadership and standard raising in medical aesthetics as an entire global field. We love getting kudos from across the world on our standards and we really love having our patients in our chairs that have trusted us for 7 years.
